Re: Golf Days
I'd endorse Brentwood golf club as a choice.

Could also look at Toot Hill.

Re: Golf Days
Near Brentwood area you could try:

Brentwood Golf Club, used to be South Weald

South Essex

Stock Brook Manor

Bentley

Bentley would be the pick of those, pretty sure they do society days.

I played Pinehurst in the summer, golf heaven!

Re: Golf Days
The London Club is alright.

The Warren also fairly decent.

Both do the usual days etc.

Re: Golf Days
I had a great society day at Dale Hill until I came over a little woosey at the 19th.

As the owner / proprietor he had me escorted off site as he tidied up.

Re: Golf Days
Yeah when I saw the price I baulked - but mate rightly pointed out, if you go all that way and don't play it, I would regret it.

Re: Golf Days
only course ive played that's anywhere near that price wise is Waterville. id recommend that to anyone who travels over to south west Ireland

it'll be an experience for you playing the 18th, so much history on that course

Mike

$495

Plus club hire

Plus Caddy

Works out about £500 in total.

madeeasy - nah stuff that. I'm not paying for a caddy and not have him searching for a skewed drive... that's the perk surely?

Re: Golf Days
It's a great course Mr P. Bloody tough though. If you can't hit straight then just play mid irons the whole round...

Takashi Miike 2:06 Fri Dec 4
Re: Golf Days

You don't need a big dinner, just a few OPEN FACED CLUB SANDWEDGES will do.

Just hope none of your mates are IRONS or they may get WOOD watching the others bend over.

Went to one in Warley once who done the breakfast, lunch and 27 holes combo which was decent.

Re: Golf Days
North Weald's a decent course for a society and meal and probably wouldn't be too pricey, i'll whomail you a number so you can get a quote
